For many of us, taking a photos is as easy as pulling out our iPhone’s and tapping our screen—if that at all. But for the clients I’ve been serving, snapping the photo is only part of the process; it’s making the memories tangible, with aesthetic quality that truly completes the act. These are the kind of clients I’ve been getting lately and I couldn’t be more grateful for their appreciation of my art and the desire to capture some professional holiday portraits to share with their loved ones. This week, I wanted to share with you the holiday mini-session I held for my Colorado families in Daniel’s Park. I first learned of Daniel’s park from my husband. It was one of the first park’s he took me to when we moved here. Although his recollection of the park consist of high school memories—the drinking, the kissing, the “secret get-away spot” for young love. My initial impression was much different. Daniel’s Park is a historic and very scenic prairie park located just south of Denver. On luckier days, we’d catch the bisons grazing the fields. But every day, we always caught a killer sunset that would make me want to put my camera down to just soak it all in.
