As we leap into the new year, we’re quick to focus on what is to come–setting intentions, curating resolutions, giving our imagination to all that awaits. But in our enthusiasm for the unknown we overlook a simple truth–the beginning of a new year marks the end of another. And while we face the lure of what’s to come, so too do we have an imperative to take a pause and reflect on the many moments that shaped a year of experience. On this new year holiday, before I take the leap forward, I’m taking a step back to focus on every milestone, celebration, intention, and victory from my 2019 year.

Wow. I didn’t think I’d be as emotional as I am now as I put this blog post together. Reflecting on all the relationships I’ve created and all the people I’ve met over the last year as I documented their love story (whether with their loved one or for their craft) is truly so incredibly humbling. I am so grateful for every single one of you that took faith in me and what I do. Thank you for my 2019! It’s been such an honor.
