Born and raised in Argentina, the lure of Barcelona, Spain seemed to be the perfect location for Silvina to marry the man of her dreams. A peek at this city of vigor, and you’ll walk away feeling full. Spain carries a vibrancy that is unparalleled—the people, food, colors, architecture, la siesta’s y la fiesta’s are all a part of what makes this culture so quintessentially theirs. So when Silvina shared with me the location of their wedding day—one silent scream and ugly happy dance later—I told her I was all in.
Their married lives began with a kiss, but their love was destined far before that moment. Ironically, the two first locked eyes at a friend’s wedding years ago in Washington D.C.. They explain that Jeff did most of the chasing from first glance and the very early stages but something tells me Silvina saw more than what met her eye—far beyond his conspicuous stares, good looks and charm, and far far beyond his “good hair.” Through the years, the two learned of their destined fate to be together. And the endless miles that once separated them were only meant to prepare them for the closeness they’ll create in the years to come.
Away from the city noise and tucked in the rolling hills of Barcelona, the two promised each other forever at La Baronia. The venue isn’t only rich in history, it’s also as picturesque as you’d imagine a Spanish/Catalonian wedding to be. I saw an uncanny parallel to this location and their newly promised love. In its 1000+ years of existence, La Baronia was once a home, a hospital, a prison, and restored back to the beautiful home that it always was. They promised each other forever—through the good, bad, ugly, in sickness and in health. They promised a forever home in each other that no matter what challenges they faced they would and could overcome.
Thank you Jeff and Silvina for exposing me to the depth and richness of Spain and allowing me to witness it in a way I’d never seen before. Your friends and family helped me get to know the two of you on a deeper level and I felt so privileged to see you through their eyes. The love between you is palpable and it’s love like yours that inspires me to do better in everything that I do. Congratulations on your happy forever after. Cant’ wait to see what the future holds for the two of you.

The weather was playing tricks on us this day. Sunny one moment, overcast the next. When we first arrived to capture the venue details, the sun was out high and bright but that didn’t take away from the beauty of La Baronia.
They went with pretty simple yet elegant invitations and I loved every bit of it.
Every piece at this venue and in the powder room was put there with so much intention. Every furniture and decor item was an art piece in my eyes.
Just across from the front entrance of La Baronia there were these lovely steps.
And a stunning wall fountain.
Silvina picked the most perfect dress for her body and personality. Brilliant elegant with some statement details.
And the gal has some great taste as you can see…her Chanel heels—beautiful and comfortable.
Loved this moment where Silvina was writing down her vows into her vow book.
I oddly love photographing make-up bags. It usually gives you an idea of how the day starts.
We were in the mountains so it was quite chilly that morning. Also, how amazing is the art decor around them?
The calm…
The bridesmaids gifted Silvina with a beautiful dainty diamond necklace. It was so perfect.
I think she loved it.
And funny enough, Silvina gifted her girls the same style necklace and from Tiffany’s.
The iconic balcony that I’d seen through all my research . I was so very excited to get some romantic shots here.
Silvina chose her bridesmaids so perfectly.
While I was taking these perfume photos the girls kept giggling about how it looked like a perfume ad. And maybe it just might be one? It would be a dream, Coco Chanel. 😉
Meanwhile…the boys were having some fun getting ready. Jeff also has good taste so it made photos of his items too easy.
Like I said, a man with excellent taste. He had an affinity for these La Scala Leather Oxfords by Allen Edmonds.
And an affinity for Mr. Tom Ford.
The concentration on these mens faces as they gelled their hair. I knew this was serious.
Oh, I love it when this happens. I really do. It always lightens up the mood just a little bit.
Team work makes the dream work.
In Korean culture, thick brows symbolize wealth and strength. He’s not Korean but it still applies.
Writing out the vows that will eventually make us all cry.
Jeff gifted his groomsmen with these personalized Hermes ties.
They joked about how fancy he was but it was clear…they loved it.
This is the inside of the iconic balcony/terrace I talked about earlier at La Baronia. How magical is every detail ? Every stone, every tile, ever scratch and mark tells its own story. And seeing Silvina in this dress with her best friends just really did it for me. I could not handle.
The love is real. They’ll always have each others back.
We took it to a GQ level.
Such a handsome groom waiting for the first look moment.
His lovely bride just moments away.
Silvina and Jeff chose to do the first look prior to the ceremony. This allowed the first glance to be more intimate and allowed more time for couple portraits.
Channeling my inner Michaelangelo’s Creation of Adam art piece. It seemed appropriate. 😉
First comes surprise, happiness, then the tears.
And behind the camera, I was crying right there with them.
This spot was probably one of the more simpler areas on the venue. I wanted to have a clean backdrop so we could focus on the first look interaction. It really couldn’t have been more perfect.
This was the driveway entrance to La Baronia. The tunnel of trees behind them was heaven. I walked through alone as I was location scouting and fell in love with the peace and quiet here. The sun was peeking through the leaves. Everything was perfect and a foreshadow of how the day was going to go.
A couple days before their wedding, I photographed the two in their wedding attire frolicking around the Gothic Quarters of Barcelona, Spain.
Just a small detail of the exterior of Gothic Cathedral.
These Bella Belle shoes were perfect for the occasion.
At this very moment, I was shocked tourists were not walking through so I screamed WALK! RUN! GO GO GO!
Side entrance to Gothic Cathedral in Barcelona, Spain.
Falling in love and getting lost in many alleys of Spain.
When Sean and I visited Barcelona in 2016, I saw this iconic spot (Pont del Bisbe) and always promised myself I would do a couple photoshoot here one day. Once we found it, it was packed with tourists but I decided it would be worth it to take photos here. I also decided to incorporate the tourists and capture their moment of love in a fast moving world.
This will forever be imprinted in my dreams. Such a gorgeous shot in front of the Gothic Cathedral in Barcelona.
It took me an hour to find this spot. But it was SO worth it.
Documenting her beauty was effortless.
Capturing a bit of a juxtapose here. This building was directly across from the Gothic Cathedral. I felt it was a clear depiction of old versus new.
Isn’t this the sexiest bridal party you’ve ever seen?
So much peace.
These musicians really set the tone. If photos could let you hear what I did that day. Every note strung and sung was strung and sung with every bit of intention.
All the smiles as he watched his soon-to-be wife walk down the aisle.
Mid-ceremony, this beautiful door distracted me.
The kiss that sealed the deal.
I was so excited about these shots on the terrace/patio. It captured their love and romance so perfectly.
If walls could talk.
I knew I adored Jeff + Silvina but the moment I spotted the oyster man I fell head over heels for these two.
I mean…
The most brilliant cocktail food service!
Of course there was Paella. It isn’t a Catalonian wedding with out a good ol’ dish of seafood Paella!
These two are expert foodies. I love them.
These were the entrance steps to the reception. Doesn’t it look like it’s straight out of a movie. The details are so genuine, so perfect, so romantic. I could really go on.
Real antique pieces here at the venue.
Reveling in their first dance as husband and wife.
Ended with the perfect dip that really had the crowd and me going.
Silvina danced with her dad and although there were no obvious tears, I could tell the two went through a lot and shared a lot together.
Jeff and his mother dancing their song. This moment was just as special.
Friends and family were trying to keep it together.
I think I lost it here.
Jose Cuervo. You know what this means.
They knew how to throw down!

The band was spectacular in every way. Sensory overload, really.
Getting ready for the sparkler exit.
These moments and images gave me life!
This marked the end of a wedding but memories that will last all of us a lifetime and a love story that is on to its next chapter.
