A Colorado Wedding: Serena & Max at The Broadmoor
Max lived with Serena’s best friend and her boyfriend. When Serena would visit, she quickly took notice of Max but got the feeling he wanted nothing to do with her. He kept his distance, avoided any chance for conversations, and minded his own business. Or so she thought. But Max had definitely noticed Serena. He definitely felt something too. So much so that he did everything in his power to mask these curious feelings out of respect for Serena’s best friend. In time, Max was given the green light and without skipping a beat he set pursuit for someone he knew was destined to be a part of his life forever.
The two opted for an intimate destination wedding at The Broadmoor located in the heart of Colorado. They promised to love and cherish each other for eternity under an overcast Denver sky…and sealed their vow with a perfect kiss. Immediately after their ceremony, a rainbow appeared–an apparent sign from the universe that no peril or turmoil would ever stand a chance to shake the foundation of this kismet match.
Serena and Max, thank you for including me to document such a beautiful wedding. Our relationship started off with distant phone conversations and ended with so much love and respect for the two of you as individuals and as a couple. It’s evident that you both give to others and care beyond yourselves but it was so beautiful to witness you two surrounded by the power of love on your wedding day. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for people as amazing as the two.

Their invitation suite was a perfect reflection of the mountainous backdrop at Cheyenne Lodge, The Broadmoor.
The resort was so breathtaking and these photos did not do it justice.
Serena told me about these swans that partner with their soulmate forever. So of course, I had to find them!
Serena chose to go with an elegant long-sleeved fitted wedding dress and she wore it perfectly.
These shoes not only look classically beautiful but pretty comfortable too.
I’ve never photographed a more funnier group of bridesmaids (and sisters!).
Their reaction is everything!

Hands are always a part of the story.
Meanwhile, Max was getting ready with his dad and groomsmen in a separate building.
Riding down this regal elevator for the long-awaited first look.
After the first look, we wanted to capture some moments in the building to show off a bit of its’ character. But also, Max needed to finish his drink.
We stepped out to the side of the lake to continue romantic couple portraits of the two.
The wind LOVED her veil that day.
This party was so silly but so beautiful all at once.

Such a thoughtful party favor. Serena and Max provided their guests with blankets since it was a bit chilly on the mountain top where Cheyenne Lodge was located.
I always love seeing the look that is exchanged between bride and groom as she walks down the aisle.
The mountainous backdrop was as breathtaking as their ceremony.
I loved the way they looked at each other.
And the way their loved ones looked at them.
Immediately after the ceremony, this beautiful rainbow appeared across the sky. Definitely a sign that these two were meant to be.
We took a few moments to take in the view and capture the sun as it began to set behind the mountains.
Their first dance captured ALL our hearts.
