A year ago, I posted my ‘2016: A Year in Review‘ to the blog. And holy hell, a lot has happened in my life since. To put it succinctly, it was a great year for growth. And while I’d love to share and expand on my personal, entrepreneurial, and spiritual 2017 journey with you, I’m going to save it for another day. Today, I want to focus and share the growth in my creative aesthetics and what better way than to round up some of my favorite shots from 2017’s photo shoots.
This year, I really loved playing with veil details in photos. It wasn’t easy and it took me at least 10 shots to find this perfect one but it was absolutely worth it. Also, Stephanie + Aaron were one of my first couples this year and they really couldn’t have started it off any better for me.
I also made it a point this year to play around with my creativity. Small details count.
I LOVED playing with reflections.
This year I worked on multiple collaborations with fellow wedding creatives and it was possibly the most fun I’ve had all year.
Here I go again with the windows. Next year, I’m hoping to perfect the reflections even more!
Loved playing with greenery in photos this year and adding the extra bokeh blur.
I got to take Amy + Muneel’s engagement photos and then witness their marriage on a boat!
I got to capture some emotional first looks.
Another engagement to wedding photography session!
One of the most beautiful bride + groom’s I’ve ever seen. Their hearts were even more beautiful.
I played with more prisms this year. I’ll definitely be working on my prism game for 2018!
By far one of my favorite sessions this year because it was cold AF but they still got in the water and we were able to create this beautiful image!
I had my fair share of Wayfarer Chapel wedding’s this year but no two were ever the same.
I have to say…my clients this year had impeccable taste.
I didn’t get as many boudoir session requests but the ones I did get were (ARE) gold.
The most beautiful pregnant bride I’d ever seen.
One of the best feelings is when old friends find you to take their engagement photos.
I think bubbles may be my favorite.
These two take the cake for sexiest wedding couple ever.
Loved seeing all the creativity and meaning behind the details of my beautiful clients.
These two are the kind of clients I will never forget. I cried a lot of happy tears this day.
Obsessed with Tara’s idea of the ‘Mrs.’ denim jacket!
This was a fun photoshoot at El Matador. I’ll never forget how much fun I had this day.
Jamie and I knew each other back during our college days so this engagement photoshoot was dear to my heart.
Like I said…my clients this year had impeccable taste in their wedding day details!
This collboration with Shannon and Emerald were one of my favorites
Another one of my favorite collaborations!
This might be my favorite image of 2017, hands down.
I really loved photoshoots at Terranea Cove.
Another couple that chose me to take their engagement photos followed by their wedding photos. Best feeling ever!
First looks get the best of me. Every. Single. Time.
Sunsets like these are every photographers dream.
Corine and John took their engagement photos with me this year and their wedding is coming up January 2018!
These two melted my heart.
My beautiful client turned friend.
A dear friend of mine asked me to be their photographer and I said DUH.
These next few photos are images from a collaborated wedding styled photoshoot. Has to be my favorite photos yet.
It was so hard to choose!
Another one of my friends that asked me to take their engagement photos.
This year I met so many amazing clients that I will always and forever remember.
Ashley and Quincy’s wedding was my last wedding of the year and I’ll never forget it.
This is why I love doing what I do. There is no greater feeling than love.
That’s it, that’s all friends. I still can’t believe every single opportunity I’ve been given this year to document these precious memories. and for this I will be forever grateful. To all my clients, thank you for putting your trust in my hands and for bringing more happiness than you could possibly imagine. To all my fellow collaborators and wedding creatives, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your glorious craft and most important, thank you for your friendship. Cheers to 2017!
