Romantic Rocky Mountain Denver Engagement: Aly & Baird
2020 certainly made history for a lot of reasons on a grand scale. But on a personal level, the good in people still shone through. Micro weddings still happened where they could, babies came into the world bringing joy to their new families, and love still bloomed more than ever in the digital dating space. Aly + Baird were one of those pairs lucky in love who defied all the odds of last year’s challenges and came out on top promising each other forever during their Colorado engagement. Originally meeting on Hinge, when the two started getting to know each other low-and-behold they found out that they actually lived less than a mile apart this whole time!
Aly + Baird dreamed of a romantic, rocky mountain engagement as an experience for their winter wonderland engagement pictures. We decided to capture their timeless Denver engagement session at Evergreen Lake. Admittedly, no one expected the lake to be completely frozen over but wow, did it ironically add a soft and even bright-airy touch to their photos in the best way. Inspired by its beauty the pair even got adventurous and walked out onto the ice.
When I had asked them each, “What do you love most about your significant other?”, Aly had originally responded “His ability to make anyone feel comfortable – he’s so genuine and trustworthy.” I was lucky enough to see that true love in action during their winter engagement session. Baird could not have been sweeter with his fiancé, holding onto her tight and constantly checking to make sure she was okay. The care each showed the other, made capturing their love so natural and authentic.
