I’m always so humbled by my conversations and time spent with my clients. No two weddings have ever been the same in my career as a professional photographer. I witness love in so many different variations and colors. Each story has left a lasing impression on my heart. These impressions that I’ve collected over the years have molded and shaped me in becoming a better photographer and artist. Liz and Ryan’s story, too, left it’s mark.
This love story is filled with false starts and missed opportunities but complete with two hearts that had always been destined to be together. Liz and Ryan first met in college during a mission trip in Jamaica. The two felt an impalpable energy grow between them as they spent time together serving their Lord and others around them. However, the timing just wasn’t right and although Ryan continued to pursue and chase after the energy they once shared, Liz just wasn’t ready at the time. It wasn’t until a few many years, encounters and dates later that Liz decided it was time to give their love a chance to thrive and develop into something more meaningful and lasting. This time, this encounter turned into years of growing together. They became the best of friends and solid counterparts in an ever-shifting world. Together, on a private Colorado ranch, they promised to weather anything life thrusted their way and asked their closest family and friends to witness their ceremony and vow to support their promises to each other.
The rest of the evening was spent popping bottles, cheersing and dancing to what may have been the happiest couple in world at that exact moment. The earth paused on its axis, with just enough time for Liz and Ryan to realize that, yes, the wait was worth everything.
Liz and Ryan, thank you for giving me the opportunity to document such a beautiful, sentimental, memorable wedding. Standing amongst your family and friends made me realize that what the two of you share is nothing short of magical. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for people as amazing as the two of you.
